After more than a decade teaching in Reggio-inspired and DC Public Schools classrooms, Lisa Jewell founded Acorn Outdoor Learning to create the kind of learning environment she always imagined for children. Inspired by her own lifelong love of nature, she envisioned a place where curiosity leads the way, every child feels they belong, and Washington, D.C.'s parks, rivers, and green spaces become classrooms for exploration, discovery, and growth.
