Tuition Assistance

At Acorn, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn, play, and grow outdoors—regardless of a family's financial circumstances. Cost should never be a barrier to meaningful experiences in nature.

In 2025, we awarded more than $50,000 in tuition assistance, supporting nearly 30% of our summer campers through partial or full scholarships. Thanks to the generosity of our funders and individual donors, we're able to make our programs more accessible while keeping tuition affordable for all families.

Beginning in Summer 2026, all full-day and week-long programs use an income-based tuition model. Families whose household income falls below established thresholds may qualify for reduced tuition, with assistance ranging from a 25% discount to a full scholarship.

During our summer programs, campers also enjoy a nutritious lunch each day. Lunch is provided at no cost for families receiving full tuition assistance and is available to all other families for a modest fee based on their income tier.
